As writers, we send our words out into the world never knowing where they may land—or who they may touch. Sometimes, it’s a quiet process. Other times, something magical happens.
Today, I’m thrilled to share one of those magical moments: Compassiviste Publishing recently included several pieces from our community in two volumes of How to Save the World: The Compassiviste Anthology. It’s a powerful reminder that even the smallest stories can make a lasting impact. Each volume is a stunning tribute to storytelling, connection, and compassion.
🎊 Volume 4: “What Celebration Means to Me” invites us to reflect on celebration—what it means in our families, cultures, and individual lives. What do we choose to honor, and why?
As the anthology marks its first anniversary, I’m especially honored that this volume includes a chapter from my own book, Sophie and Spot, now available from Compassiviste Publishing. To have my work featured among so many thoughtful, creative voices is a true celebration in itself.
🌍 Volume 6: “We All Live Under the Same Sky” echoes the belief at the heart of my writing—that we are never truly alone. It captures a powerful truth and celebrates the unity, compassion, and invisible threads that connect us all.
And it also includes pieces by two of our longlist winners from the Tadpole Press 100-Word Writing Contest—“I Share the Sunlight” by Summer Waibel and “Someone Else” by JH Tomen. Both stories are powerful examples of what 100 words can hold.

This is what fills me with hope: You never know where your writing might go. These authors entered a short contest. Now their words are published in an international anthology whose profits support humanitarian and sustainability projects. That’s not just being published—it’s making an impact.
We write to share stories. We write to find each other. And when publishers like Compassiviste step in—committed to ethical, digital-first publishing and to amplifying voices with purpose—our stories find homes that reflect our values.
That's how you go from contest entry to global impact.
That’s why I’m so excited about the continued partnership between Compassiviste and Tadpole Press. Two winners of our November contest will once again receive either a manuscript assessment or a full publishing and marketing package—together valued at nearly $10,000 USD. It’s a meaningful opportunity for writers to be seen and supported.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to submit your work, this is it. Your voice matters. Your story might be the one someone halfway across the world didn’t know they needed to read. And you might find it published in the next volume of this beautiful anthology series.
